Reflection
I had a revelation on Tuesday, Feb 2, 2010.. its was a time filled with little nuggets that I will never forget.
Picture this:
The most magnificantly colored pink and purple sky at about 7 am, before the sun has risen in the nations capital with its colors reflecting into the dark, dirty waters of the Potomac River. It was beautiful, the exact colors of the sky shown in the river. The Lord showed me that this example is He and His children. Even though our lives are sinful and dirty as the river, God’s color, His image is pure, beautiful and radiant. We can so amazingly reflect the beauty of God’s image in our lives by His grace and desire.
Another nugget from that morning is the calm of the water, that is how our hearts and lives need to be; at perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him because we reflect Him.
May our color, detail and identity be found to reflect His image and identity.
